INSPIRE! WRITE FROM YOUR SOUL
Reach out, be a hand of healing to a hurting world by telling your story. But go one step further and write your nonfiction creatively by using fiction techniques. Learn how to connect with your reader and inspire their lives. This can be a keynote speech, a motivational speech, or a participatory workshop.
Learn how to write devotions that touch the heart of your reader and change the course of their lives. Depending on your needs, this can be an instructional speech or a participatory workshop.
PUBLIC SPEAKING . . . WHY?
The days of just writing and leaving the promotion responsibilities to others are over for most writers. Today we are expected to have a platform and one of the most effective platform builders is public speaking. In this fun workshop we learn how to overcome our fear, choose topics and deliver them in an effective and authoritative way.
History never seems like history while you are living it. In this interactive workshop we identify the events in our lifetimes that future generations will read about in textbooks, then using the creative nonfiction style, tell our stories. By doing this we help our readers connect with historical events in a personal way. They will "hear" our voice.
WRITING LIFE ~ YOUR STORIES MATTER
A presentation or workshop on Memoir writing, why we should, why we don't, and ideas outside of the traditional book binder!
Just getting started writing? Whether you write fiction or nonfiction, knowing about scene building, characterization, sense of place, deep point of view, showing instead of telling, makes the difference! This presentation is best presented in several sessions, but can hit the highlights in one session.
LIFE FROM A WRITER'S POINT OF VIEW
When writing a novel, the fiction writer gives the main character a goal and for the first two-thirds of the story throws in every obstacle imaginable to keep the character from achieving that goal. The last third when the character not only achieves the goal but also changes in the process. Isn't that just like real life? But is is God, the author of all life the one throwing in the obstacles? Another element of fiction is "Point of View" is an indication of which character is telling the story. Who is telling our story? Life from a Writer's Point of View is my testimony of the obstacles I've overcome and how God change my point of view.
FORGIVE AND LIVE
In this presentation Linda stresses the importance of forgiving and gives practical ways to succeed in forgiving by following the example of Christ who brought forgiveness to us all.
