TOPICS:

INSPIRE! WRITE FROM YOUR SOUL
Reach out, be a hand of healing to a hurting world. Write your insights, inspirations, epiphanies. Learn how to connect with your readers to inspire and motivate them. Make a positive impact in your sphere and beyond. This presentation can serve as a keynote speech, a motivational speech, or a participatory workshop.

WORDS THAT HEAL: CREATING MEANINGFUL DEVOTIONS AND MEDITATIONS

Discover how to craft devotions and meditations that speak directly to the heart and offer genuine encouragement, clarity, and hope. In this session, Linda guides participants through the core elements of meaningful devotional writing through sharing personal experiences, insight, storytelling, and spiritual resonance. This session can be offered as a focused instructional presentation or an interactive, hands-on workshop based on your group’s needs.

WRITING LIFE ~ YOUR STORIES MATTER
Discover, Value, Share. This engaging workshop guides participants through the art of discovering, valuing, and sharing their personal stories. Together, we’ll explore how everyday experiences become meaningful narratives, and how the Creative Nonfiction genre—including memoir—offers powerful ways to preserve and share them. Linda equips attendees with practical tools, inspiring examples, and gentle encouragement to recognize the worth of their own stories and why they matter. This is a highly interactive, hands-on session designed to spark reflection, conversation, and creative momentum.

USING FICTION TO TELL THE TRUTH USING THE CREATIVE NONFICTION STYLE
Do you want your nonfiction prose to read like a novel? The Creative Nonfiction style of writing does just that by using fiction techniques in your nonfiction writing. There is no better way to connect with your readers. This class can be divided into two levels.

  • Level 1 is for writers new to Creative Nonfiction.

  • Level 2 takes a more out-of-the-box approach. This is a one-hour workshop, but can be expanded into two hours.

WRITING CHILDREN'S BOOKS FOR TODAY'S YOUNG READERS

Children are our most important audience—our future leaders, dreamers, and problem-solvers. Writing for them, whether through picture books, early readers, chapter books, or middle-grade novels, requires more than crafting a charming story. Today’s educators and librarians are actively seeking books that weave in meaningful social and emotional learning (SEL) themes. In this session, Linda explores practical, creative ways to integrate SEL into children’s literature without becoming “teachy” or “preachy.” Participants will discover how to nurture young hearts and minds while still telling engaging, beautifully crafted stories.
